This recipe for a yogurt parfait shows how creative you can be with combinations of fruit, yogurt, and Effie's Homemade biscuits.
- 2 c. plain yogurt
- 1 T. honey
- 1 t. orange or lemon zest
- 2 t. orange or lemon juice
- 1 ½ c. raspberries, blueberries, or fruit of your choice
- 6 Effie's Pecan Biscuits, coarsely crumbled or chopped
Combine the yogurt, honey, zest and juice.
Sprinkle half of the chopped Pecan Biscuits into the bottom of your dessert glass or parfait dish. Top with some sliced fruit and a sprinkle of biscuits. Dollop the yogurt mixture over the berries. Repeat the layers starting with the Pecan Biscuits and finish with fresh berries on top.
Variation: Substitute ½ t. vanilla for the orange / lemon zest and juice.
