Cocoa Biscuit Tiramisu Cups

These individual Cocoa Biscuit Tiramisu cups add a twist to the classic recipe by using our Cocoa Biscuits for a rich and indulgent flavor! Each individual tiramisu cup is packed with all the classic flavors of a tiramisu but in a bite sized form.

Cocoa Biscuit Tiramisu Cups

  • 1 Pkg. of Effie’s Cocoa Biscuits, finely crushed
  • 1/4 c. strong coffee or brewed espresso, cooled
  • 1 t. coffee liqueur
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 1/4 c. melted unsalted butter
  • 1 c. heavy cream
  • 1/4 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 t. vanilla extract
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting

Place the biscuits into a resealable bag and beat with a rolling pin until it resembles fine breadcrumbs. Sprinkle the biscuits into a large bowl and pour in the melted butter, then mix to combine.

Take out a muffin tin and place 2-3 tablespoons of the crushed biscuits into the tin using a spoon to shape it all around. Continue with the remaining biscuits.

Place the biscuits into the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes to chill.

Stir the coffee liqueur into the cooled coffee.

In a large bowl, whisk the mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone until well combined.

Remove the biscuits from the refrigerator and pipe or spoon the mascarpone mixture into each cup.

Brush a little of the coffee mixture on top of each of the mascarpone fillings.

Refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to come together.

Remove from the refrigerator and dust the tops with unsweetened cocoa powder.

Serve up and enjoy!
