Apple & Cranberry Walnut Biscuit Crisp

This cinnamon spiced apple cranberry crisp uses Walnut Biscuits, mixed with melted butter and brown sugar, for a nutty, buttery twist on a classic!

Apple & Cranberry Walnut Biscuit Crisp

  • 6 c. apples, peeled and slice (about 5-6 apples)
  • 1 c. fresh or frozen cranberries, plus a small handful reserved for topping
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 T. lemon juice
  • 1 t. ground cinnamon
  • 2 T. cornstarch
  • 1 box Walnut Biscuits
  • 4 T. unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 T. brown sugar

Preheat oven to 350F.

In a large bowl, toss the apples, 1 cup cranberries, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cornstarch until evenly coated. Pour into a 9x9 baking dish.

Place the Walnut Biscuits in a resealable bag and crush with a rolling pin. Mix with butter and brown sugar until the mixture clumps together.

Sprinkle the biscuit topping over the fruit, and then scatter the reserved whole cranberries on top so they peek through and roast.

Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the fruit is bubbling and the top is a golden brown.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream!
