Almond Biscuit Crusted Chicken

Our friend Taylor Golub came up with this delicious and fun way to use our Almond Biscuits! Service with your favorite seasonal vegetables, and enjoy any time of year.

Almond Biscuit Crusted Chicken

  • 1 pkg. Effie's Almond Biscuits
  • 1 t. garlic powder
  • 1 t. paprika
  • 1 t. thyme
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 1/4 t. pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 T. milk
  • 2 chicken breasts

Add the package of Almond Biscuits to a resealable bag. Using a roll pin, crush the biscuits into a fine crumb.

Pour the crumbs into a large dish and add the garlic powder, paprika, 1 thyme, and salt & pepper. Use a fork to mix together.

In a shallow bowl, whisk the egg and the milk together.

Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Dip the chicken, one at a time into, into the egg and milk mixture, and then into the crumbs, making sure to fully coat the chicken. Repeat for the second chicken breast.

Place the coated chicken breasts into an oiled baking dish, and place into the refrigerator for 20 minutes.

While the chicken is resting, heat the oven to 375F. Remove the chicken from the refrigerator and put in the oven. Bake for about 20 minutes or until cooked through.

Remove the chicken from the oven, cover with foil and allow to rest for 10 minutes.

Enjoy!
